Łukasz Leja is a trained architectural designer originally from Poland. He studied the practice in England, China, and the United States—most recently completing a course at Harvard.
Since graduating, he's designed for prominent NYC-based firms. Focused on cultural and civic projects across five continents, Leja's roster of clients includes Richard Serra, the crown prince of Saudi Arabia, and Lady Gaga.
Currently, he is engaged in personal projects, including residential developments in the Hamptons, Upstate New York, and Greenwich, CT. This year, his first solo design—a community research hospital in Benin, West Africa—will be completed.
Leja also pursues figurative painting. He uses oil to address the subjects of love and sex—and creates geometrical compositions that feature the human body. In 2022, he took top honors at the Los Angeles Tom of Finland Emerging Artist Competition.
He is based in New York City.
